Situated in the heart of Kentucky’s famous Bluegrass region, the Polo Barn at Saxony Farm is a truly unique setting for your wedding day. Family owned and operated for over 45 years, this fully functioning Thoroughbred horse farm offers a one-of-a-kind venue. With indoor and outdoor spaces available it is a perfect setting for any event. The site offers two polo barns that border a grassy area lined with mature bur oak, maple, pecan and sycamore trees. There is ample space for a tent with a custom designed terrace area to accommodate wedding guests. The property also includes a newly built idyllic guest cottage specifically designed for the bridal party to prepare for the big day.

One of the more popular features is the 38-stall polo barn, which is one of the largest and oldest buildings available for your wedding day. Previously housing Saxony Farm’s successful string of polo ponies, the original horse stalls and an impressive 60 ft. vaulted interior provide an exceptional setting for a variety of different functions. The natural character of the wooden structure and lofty ceiling provides an incredible backdrop in which to host an intimate ceremony under the cathedral-like beams. The large polo barn has the capacity to hold 200+ chairs for a ceremony and 250+ for receptions. The rustic stalls also offer an ideal area for a cocktail hour prior to or following your ceremony, food stations, a bar area, photo booth site and on some occasions, a last minute rainy weather option.
